The Resilience Project is a transformative partnership between Sasha Bruce Youthwork, the Maryland Multicultural Youth Center (MMYC), SMYAL, the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services, and the US Department of Health and Human Services.Â

The Resilience Project offers three tiers of financial assistance to youth enrolled into the program:
During the enrollment process, youth can choose the tier that best suits their needs and financial goals. All tiers will receive resilience coaching, resource navigation, and other support.Â

Even if you’re not selected for this cohort, we can still help. We’ll connect you with other resources and services available through the Bruce Empowerment Zone, the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services, and our partner agencies.
You can apply online through our website or by visiting the Bruce Empowerment Zone in person. We’ll guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
Yes, all information you share with us is kept strictly confidential. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Absolutely! We celebrate diversity and are committed to providing a safe and affirming environment for all young people, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. We have specialized programming and services tailored to your needs, including support groups, counseling, and resources for building chosen families. Even if you are not selected for this cohort, our AFFIRM specialist provides free therapy for LGBTQ+ youth and families with youth who have recently come out. We encourage you to apply and join our community!
Absolutely! The Resilience Project welcomes all young people in Prince George’s County who are facing housing instability or homelessness, regardless of immigration status. We do not collect or report any data related to immigration status, and we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
