Help the Homeless Campaign

Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY) has been a long time participant in Fannie Mae’s Help the Homeless Campaign. The campain runs June through November and usually culminates with a Walkathon on the National Mall to raise funds for organizations that work to end homelessness.

This year’s program will not have a walkathon, and is instead based on individual donations. We need the support of at least 250 people to make individual donations by joining our team. All you need to do is join our team!. Your $20 or $30 donation will aid SBY in our mission of improving the lives of homeless and at-risk youth.

SBY is working hard to create fun and creative fundraising special events.

Some of our future events include:

National Walk to End Youth Homelessness
This will consist of a virtual awareness event to be held on Sunday, October 7th from 12 to 3pm. SBY will be providing staff and client testimonials on our Facebook and Twitter sites.

POWER Fish Fry and Testing event
Our Preventative, Outreach, Wellness, Education & Risk program located at 701B Maryland Avenue, NE. is excited to be hosting this event on Friday, October 12th starting at 12pm for lunch and continuing through the dinner hour. In addition to a delicous meal, POWER staff will be available for on-site STD/HIV testing.

Happy Hour Fundraiser at Madam’s Organ Restaurant/Bar
Please join us at 2461 18th Street, NW on Thursday, October 18th between 5:00 and 9:00pm as $1 from every drink sold and 20% from all food sales will benefit SBY!

We’d appreciate your support if you’d like to join us at any of these events!
